SARAH EMALINE TOPE

  Sarah Emaline Tope, daughter of Joseph Tope and Hettie Green, was born 7 June 1842 in Carroll Co., Ohio [note 1], and died 28 November 1910 [note 2]. She married Andrew Davis McQueen, son of Abel McQueen and Rebecca Davis, on 18 February 1864  in Carroll Co., Ohio [note 3]. Andrew was born 9 November 1837 in Carroll Co., Ohio and died 4 January 1929 in Leesville, Henry County, Missouri[note 4].  Andrew served in the Civil War as a Private in the 157th Regiment, Ohio Infantry (National Guard), Co. I, and in the 110th Infantry, Co. K [note 5].

    Sarah and Andrew had fifteen children; two died young:

1. Hettie Clarissa McQueen was born about 1865.
2. Abel Elsworth McQueen was born 24 July 1866 in Harmony, Clay Co., Indiana and died 7 Januay 1944 in Henry Co., Missouri.  He married Effie Rowans on 23 February. Effie was born 16 June 1875 and died 9 February 1900  in birth of fourth child. Abel later married Nellie Briggs, daughter of Daniel Briggs and Alice Melissa Gray, on 20 July 1921.  Nellie was born 14 October 1883 and died 21 November 1924 [note 6].
3. Joseph Bramwell McQueen was born 14 January 1868 in Henry Co., Missouri and died 19 July 1949 in Henry Co., Missouri.  He maried Etta McCurley.  Etta was born 13 August 1871 in Leesville, Henry Co., Missouri and died 19 February 1963 in Clinton, Henry Co., Missouri.  hey are buried in the Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, Henry Co., Missouri [note 7].
4. George Fletcher McQueen was born 27 August 1869 in Henry co., Missouri and died 6 August 1859 in Clinton, Henry Co., Missouri.  He married Olive Mae (Maud?) Lutz.  Olive was born 1 January 188028 October 1959 in  in Harper, Kansas and died 28 October 1959 in Clinton, Henry Co., Missouri.  They are buried in the Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, Henry Co., Missouri [note 8].
5. Hiram Orlando McQueen was born 10 June 1873 and died 11 August 1857 [note 9].
6. Joshua Francis McQueen was born about 1875.
7. John Tennyson McQueen was born about 1876 and died in 1930 [note 10].
8. Andrew Milton McQueen, twin to John Tennyson, was born about 1876 and died in 1960 [note 11].
9. Eva Oretta McQueen was born in June 1879 and died in 1966.  She married William Morton Puckett [note12].
10. Sarah Emeline McQueen was born 27 November 1881 and died 14 November 1971 [note 13].
11. Mary Samantha McQueen was born 14 November 1873 and died about 1975 [note 14].
12. William Bascom McQueen was born 9 Novembe 1885 in Leesville, Henry Co., Missouri and died 21 April 1976 [note 15].
13. Alonzo Harrison McQueen was born 23 February 1889 and died in 1965 [note 16].
