TOPE FAMILY PAGE

    Mary Tope, daughter of Stephen Tope and Jemimah Kail [note 1], was born 18 December 1825 in Union Twp, Carroll Co., Ohio, and died 11 November 1901 in Union Twp, Carroll Co., Ohio.  She married Jacob Allen on 7 April 1842 in Carrol Co., Ohio [note 2].  He was born about 1818 in Pennsylvania, and died 6 December 1896 in Carroll Co., Ohio.  
    Mary and Jacob are buried in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.                                
    Mary and Jacob had ten children:

1. Levi Allen married Mary Anne Armstrong on 1 January  1863 in Carroll Co., Ohio [note 3].  Levi and Mary had seven children:
   
   1.  Laura Allen.
   2.  Brady Allen married Francis Wilson.
   3. Alva  Allen.
   4. Lafayette Allen.
   5. Lillian Allen.
   6. Lizzie Allen.
   7. Roy Allen.
2. Jemima Allen married Andrew J. McCauley on 9 June 1875 in Carroll Co., Ohio [note 4].  Jemeima and Andrew they had six children:
   
   1. Jacob Joseph McCauley married Nellie Brown.
   2.  Mary C. McCauley died before 1896.
   3. James A. McCauley died before 1896.
   4. Orvie L.McCauley.
   5. Curtis W. McCauley.
   6. Andrew C.McCauley.
3. William Allen married Margaret (Maggie) on 7 September 1873 in Carroll County, Ohio [note 5]  William and May had two children:
   
   1. Hinckley Allen.
   2.  Emory Allen.
4. Stephen T. Allen married Elizabeth (Lizzie) A. Scott in Carroll Co., Ohio [note 6] Stephen and Elizabeth they had three children:
   
   1. Orpha Allen married James Wilkinson.
   2. Virgil  Allen twin to Vernie, deceased.
   3. Vernie Allen, twin to Virgil,  deceased. 
5. Jackson Allen married Chastina (Tina) Scott on 9 June 1875 in Carroll Co., Ohio [note 7]. Stephen and Elizabeth had three children:
   
   1. Roy Allen.
   2. Donna Allen.
   3. Coyla Allen
6. Hiram J. Allen was born 27 July 1852, and married Rena Scott on 9 August1885.  Rena was born in 16 June 1865. They had three children:
   
   1. Clyde E. Allen was born 20 December 1886 and died 17 March  1888.
   2. Lottie D. Allen was born on 7 February 1888.
   3. Morris F. was born 28 May 1891.
7. Amanda Allen married Joseph Parker, and had two children:
   
   1. James Allen.
   2. Ida Allen married David Clark and had six more children:
   3. Verda Clark
   4. CormaClark
   5. Lulu Clark
   6. TommyClark
   7. Oma Clark
   8. Madie Pearl Clark, (deceased in or before 1896).
8. Jasper N. Allen, (deceased in or before 1896) was married to Susan Russell, and they had one son, Jasper N. Allen
9. Mary F. Allen married Alexander Scott, and they had one son, Andrew, and a daughter.
10. Jacob Allen married Anna J. Maple on  21 August 1886. Jacob and Anna had four children:
    
    1. Inez, born 4 August 1887.
    2. Jessie, born 21 December 1889.
    3. Perry, born 24 June 1892,
    4. Baby born in 1896.
