December 1890 in Baldwin, Douglass Co., Kansas.
Malinda and James had seven children:
- Hiram James
Cooper was born 8 March 1841 and died in 1858 in
Washington Co., Ohio.
- Catharine
Cooper was born 23 April 1843
in Washington Co., Ohio. She married John Phares
Stephens on 1 September
1864. He was born 28 September
1836
in Shelby Co., Indiana and
died in Franklin
Co., Kansas [note
3]. John was
a Baptist minister. In
1896 they resided in
Wellsville, Franklin
county, Kansas.
Catherine and John had seven children:
- Sarah Malinda Stephens was
born 14 July 1865 in
Washington Co., Ohio. Sarah married William M. Lidikay
- Spurgeon Beecher Stephens
was born 13 September 1867 in
Washington Co., Ohio.
- Calvin Stacy Stephens was
born 7 June 1869 in
Franklin Co, Kansas.
- Rosa May Stephens was born
16 May 1871 in Franklin Co.,
Kansas.
- Mary Elizabeth Stephens
was born 17 April 1873 in
Franklin Co., Ohio(?).
- Octavio Catharine Stephens
was born 6
January 1875 in Franklin Co., Ohio(?).
- Grace
Orpha Stephens was born 15 January 1877 in Franklin Co., Ohio and died
3 March 1913 in Kansas City, Jackson Co., Missouri.
- Elizabeth
Cooper was born on 30
January 1845 and died 1 March 1862 in
Washington Co., Ohio.
- Lucinda
Cooper was born 21
February 1847 and died in 1863 in Washington Co., Ohio.
- Maria Cooper was
