GEORGE B. TOPE

   George B. Tope, son of Stephen Tope and Jememiah Kail, was born 19 Aug 1843 [note 1], and died in 1926.  He married Margaret Jane Dunlavy on 1 December 1864 in Carroll Co., Ohio [note 2].  She was born 10 July 1842, and died 20 August 1894 in Mechanicstown, Carroll Co., Ohio. 
    George and Margaret are buried in Harrington Cemetery, Augusta Twp., Carroll Co., Ohio. 
    George and Margaret had seven children:
  1. Clarissa Bell Tope was born 7 October 1864 in Algonquin, Carroll Co., Ohio [note 3].  She married William G. Hahn on 14 March 1894. William was born in 1869 in Ohio and died 11 Jun 1967 in Willoughby Co., Lake Co., Ohio [note 4].
    Clarissa and William had two children:
    1. Frederick E. Hahn was born in 1896 in Stark Co., Ohio
    2. Guy A. Hahn was born 11 February 1903 in Stark Co., Ohio and died 26 Dec 1973 in Minerva, Stark Co., Ohio [note 5].
  2. Milton E. Tope was born about 1867 in Mechancistown, Ohio and died before 1950 in Pennsylvania.  He  married Ora Leorah (Oral E.?) Seekings on 27 December 1891 in Ohio [note 6].
     They had one child: Earl Raymond Seekings.  He was born 1 October  1892 in Ohio and died 2 September 1954 in San Francisco, California [note 7].  He married Ena --- [note 8]
  3. Jesse Leroy Tope was born 17 July 1870 in Union Twp., Carroll Co., Ohio.  He married Agnes M. Moore, daughter of Clarence Moore, on 15 September 1891 in Carroll Co., Ohio.  Agnes was born 17 July 1870 in Washington Twp., Carroll Co., Ohio, and died 3 May 1904 in Cleveland, Ohio.
    4. Jesse and Agnes had two children:
    1. Charles Foster Tope was born 17 January 1893 and died in 1980 in Ohio.  He married Dorothy B. ---, who was born in Mexico.
    2. Mary L. Tope was born in 1899 in Carroll Co., Ohio [note 9].
  4. Elizabeth Marie Tope was born about 1872.  She married John Calvin Unkefer on 31 March 1896 in Stark Co., Ohio [note 10]. John was born in June 1854, and died on 19 September 1907 in Robertsville, Stark Co., Ohio.
  5. Lucy Edna Tope was born 13 August 1874 in Canton, Stark Co., Ohio, and died 10 February 1875.
  6. Viola Maude Tope was born 16 December 1875 in Union, Carroll Co., Ohio and died 20 July 1963 in Ashtabula Co., Ohio.  She married William Herman McCord on 13 December 1895 in Carroll Co., Ohio.  He was born in 1874 in Wayne, Columbiana, Ohio and died 16 March 1958 in Alliance, Stark Co., Ohio [note 11]
  7. George Dunlevy Tope was born in July 1878 in Washington, Carroll Co., Ohio and died 9 August 1907 in Akron, Summit Co., Ohio.  He married Minnie D. Snyder in 1897 in Canton, Stark Co., Ohio.  Minnie was born in February 1877 in Warren, Trumbull Co., Ohio [note 12].
    1. Russell D. Tope was born in Feb 1900 in Canton, Stark Co., Ohio.
    2. Raymond Clair Nichol, foster son,  was born 17 February 1902 in Canton, Stark Co., Ohio and died 10 February 1969 in Pendleton, Niagara Co., New York.  He married Mildred Isabelle Jewell on 17 July 1922 in Canton, Stark Co., Ohio.  She was born 22 September 1904 in Orangeville, Trumbull Co., Ohio and died 1 December 2001 in the Crestwood Health Care, Niagara Falls Co., New York [note 13].
