ANN TOPE

    Ann Tope, daughter of Jacob and Catherine Kail, was born 28 January 1828 [note 1], and died 11 October 1901 in Carroll Co., Ohio [note 2].  She married David Rainsberger, son of John Ranisberger and Susannah Albaugh on 18 February 1847 in Carroll Co., Ohio [note 3].  David was born 19 April 1823 in Ohio [note 4], and died 12 October 1889 in Carroll Co., Ohio [note 5].  Ann and David are buried in the Leavittsville Cemetery.

     Ann and David had one child:

    James Huston Rainsberger  was born in Carroll Co., Ohio, and died Bef. 1896.  James married Fanny B. Springer.  Fanny was born 1865 in Ohio [note 6].  He had been a school teacher, telegrapher, pharmacist, and leader of several cornet bands. 
    James and Fanny lived in Cleveland at the time of Ann's death [note 7].  They had one child, June Rainsberger, who lived in Bowerstown, Carroll Co., Ohio, in 1896 [note 9].
