TOPE FAMILY PAGE

    Angeline McQueen, daughter of Barbara Tope and Samuel McQueen, was born about 1832 in Ohio [notes 1 and 2].  She married Joshua Davis,  son of Joshua Davis and Isabel Logan, on 10 May 1848 in Carroll Co., Ohio [note 3].  He was born about 1827 in Virginia [note 4].  Joshua was a dentist in Minor Point, Ohio.  As a widower, Joshua lived with son-inlaw, Simon Straub, in 1910 in Sandy, Tuscarawas Co., Ohio [note 5].
    Angeline and Joshua had nine children:

1. Florence N. Davis died before 1896.  She married Shannon Jasper  Heavlin, son of Ephraim Heavlin and Sarah Thompson, on 22 June 1882.  He was born about 1860 in Ohio [note 6].  Jasper, as he was known, was a dentist at Canal Dover, Ohio.
   Children of Florence and Jasper are:
        i. Harry J. Heavlin.      
     ii.Walter E. Heavlin.
    Ephraim's father was Adam Hevlin, and Sarah's father was Stephen Thompson.    
    Jasper was the second of five children born to Ephraim and Sarah, all born in Ohio.  The other childrn are:   Sheldon C., born about 1858, Ohio, George H., born about 1863, Lewis, born about 1866, and Ephraim, born about 1869[note 7].
2. Samuel A. Davis was born about 1853 in Ohio.  He married Margaret (Maggie) J. Tripp on 3 October 1872 [note 8].
   Children of Samuel and Margaret are:
         i.    Ina L. Davis.
         ii.   Lula C. Davis.
         iii.  Edwin H. Davis.
         iv.  Lillie B. Davis.
         v.  Clinton W. Davis.
3. Barbara I. Davis was born about 1854.  She married William T. Rabe on 1 October 1874. 
   Children of Barbara and William are:
         i.    Florence L. Rabe
         ii.   Myrtle L. Rabe.
         iii.  Angie O. Rabe married James C. Jones on 15 March 1896.
4. Mary M. Davis was born about 1855.  She married William J. Andrews on 15 March 1896.
   Children of Mary and William are:
         i.    Wilbur N. Andrews.
         ii.   Carrie M. Andrews died before 1896.
         iii.  Grace E. Andrews.
         iv.  Lillie B. Andrews died before 1896.
         v.   Goldie H. Andrews.
5.  Andrew W. Davis was born 14 May 1857 in Carroll, Carroll Co, Ohio, and died in 1881 in Tuscarawas, Tuscarawas Co., Ohio [note 8].  He married Jennie Nannie Cross, daughter of James Cross on 24 June 1882.  Andrew was a dentist and in 1896 was the mayor of Holton, Kansas.
   Children of Andrew and Jennie are:
         i.    Edgar Davis.
         ii.   Artie M. Davis.
6. Emma C. Davis was born about 1860 in Ohio.  She married Frank A. Stoneman on 30 June 1881. 
   Emma and Frank had one child:
         i.    Bertie Stoneman.
7. Samantha R. Davis was born about 1863 in Ohio.  She married Simon Straub on 3 February 1884. 
   Samantha and Simon had one child:
         i.    Maudie O. Straub.
8. Louisa A. Davis was born about 1867 in Ohio.  She married James E. McNeel on 23 August 1883.
   Children of Louisa and James are:
         i.    Rollo McNeel.      
         ii.   Walter R. McNeel.

9. Malinda M. Davis was born about 1871 in Ohio.  She married Thomas Osborn on 8 August 1887. 
   Children of Malinda and Thomas are:
         i.    Angie Audrey Osborn was born after 1887.
         ii.   Emma Fay Osborn was born after 1887.
